5 Recent Yoruba Nollywood Movies on YouTube to Watch This Week

If you are looking for **fresh Yoruba movies on YouTube this week**, there are several new releases attracting attention from Yoruba movie fans. Unlike lists that recycle movies uploaded weeks or months ago, this selection focuses on **recent August 2026 uploads**

Here are five movies worth checking out.

 1. LAFINDARA 2

**Cast:** Ayo Olaiya, Fisayo Abebi, Ronke Odusanya and others

*LAFINDARA 2* is one of the recent Yoruba movie releases appearing in YouTube’s current results. The listing shows the movie as an **August 10, 2026** upload, putting it firmly within this week’s fresh-release window.

As the second instalment in the *LAFINDARA* title, viewers who have followed the previous storylines may be particularly interested in seeing where the latest chapter takes the characters.

The movie features familiar Yoruba movie faces, including **Ayo Olaiya, Fisayo Abebi and Ronke Odusanya**.

### Why Watch It?

If you enjoy Yoruba dramas featuring familiar actors, emotional conflicts and continuing storylines, *LAFINDARA 1* is a strong option for this week’s watchlist.

 2. ASE ORISA

**Cast:** Anike Ami, Saliu Ogboluke and others

Another fresh Yoruba title to look out for is *ASE ORISA*.

The movie’s storyline centres on a troubled boy from a broken home who turns to stealing. However, one stolen brass ornament changes everything when it awakens mysterious powers.

That setup immediately suggests a mixture of **family drama, traditional beliefs, mystery and supernatural elements**—a combination that has remained popular among Yoruba movie audiences.

The cast includes well-known Yoruba actors such as **Anike Ami and Saliu Ogboluke**.

### Why Watch It?

If you prefer Yoruba movies with a spiritual or mysterious storyline rather than straightforward romance, *ASE ORISA* could be one of the more interesting choices this week.

3. KUFONNA

**Cast:** Oyetola Elemosho and others

*KUFONNA* is another very recent Yoruba movie that has been generating attention.

A social-media post from **Oyetola Elemosho** dated **August 11, 2026** celebrated the movie reaching **500,000 views in 24 hours**, indicating that the film was attracting significant audience attention shortly after its release.

The movie appears to lean heavily into **traditional Yoruba storytelling**, with themes involving warriors, kingdoms and betrayal.

The title and promotional material describe a story involving a warrior and a kingdom facing serious challenges.

### Why Watch It?

The early viewership is one reason to put *KUFONNA* on your radar.

If you enjoy **Yoruba epic movies, warriors, kingdoms, betrayal and traditional settings**, this is one of the newer releases worth checking out.

 4. OBA ELETO

**Cast:** Afeez Owo, Niyi Johnson and others

*OBA ELETO* is another Yoruba title currently appearing among recent movie results.

The film features familiar faces including **Afeez Owo and Niyi Johnson**, making it another option for viewers who enjoy seeing established Yoruba actors in new productions.

The title itself points toward a story involving royalty, authority and power.

While Yoruba movies with kings and traditional settings are nothing new, they remain popular because they provide room for stories involving family conflicts, loyalty, betrayal, succession and hidden secrets.

### Why Watch It?

If you enjoy **royal Yoruba dramas and movies centred around power and traditional leadership**, *OBA ELETO* is worth adding to your list.

5. ROYAL TEST

**Released:** August 12, 2026

If your main priority is finding something **extremely fresh**, *ROYAL TEST* deserves attention.

The YouTube listing identifies it as **released on August 12, 2026**, making it the newest title on this list.

The film is presented as a **Latest African Village Movie/Yoruba Movie 2026**, placing it within the traditional African/Yoruba movie category.

The title immediately suggests a story involving royalty and a major challenge or test.

That combination of **royalty, tradition and conflict** is often a major attraction for viewers of Yoruba village movies.

### Why Watch It?

If you’re searching YouTube for something that was uploaded today rather than something that has already been online for weeks, *ROYAL TEST* is one of the freshest options currently available.

 Final Thoughts

Yoruba movie fans have several new options to explore on YouTube this week.

From the continuing story of *LAFINDARA 2* to the spiritual mystery of *ASE ORISA*, the traditional themes of *KUFONNA* and the royal stories of *OBA ELETO* and *ROYAL TEST*, there’s a variety of entertainment available.

Most importantly, this list was prepared with your **fresh-upload requirement** in mind. I have deliberately avoided using the older June and early-July uploads that appeared in the search results.

If you prefer a movie that is already attracting significant early attention, **KUFONNA** is another interesting choice, with its reported 500,000 views in 24 hours.
